Professor Victoria Cowling receives Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award June 28, 2018 Professor Victoria Cowling has received a Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award. This scheme, jointly funded by the Wolfson Foundation and the Royal Society, is for outstanding scientists to help recruit them to or retain them in the UK. It covers all areas of the life and physical sciences, including engineering, but excluding clinical medicine. Professor Cowling said, “I’m grateful that the work of our research team has received this recognition for our work in Dundee. This award is from the Royal Society, Wolfson Foundation and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) who recognise the quality of science being produced from UK universities.”
