First place winner Marcus Bage presenting his poster

The annual third year PhD poster session took place this week with excellent entries from 27 students across the School. Each poster was judged by three of the 14 judges who included PIs and senior postdoctoral researchers.

1st Prize went to Marcus Bage, a joint student between Andrei Pisliakov’s lab in Computational Biology and Victoria Cowling’s lab in GRE. His poster was entitled, ‘Recruitment of the human mRNA Capping Enzyme by the C-terminal Domain of RNA Polymerase II: Insights from molecular dynamics simulations’. Marcus received a prize of £250 from event sponsors Thermofisher Scientific.
