Elizabeth Bayne the most recently appointed Principal Investigator at GRE has been selected as one of nine young investigators from across Europe to join the EpiGeneSys Network of Excellence, an ambitious new EC-funded research initiative which aims to bring together the two thriving fields of epigenetics and systems biology. Membership of the network will support research in her lab financially and through the opportunity to develop innovative collaborations with leading researchers throughout the EU.

Director of the Centre, Angus Lamond said, “The EpiGeneSys Network is a very competitive initiative and it’s a great achievement for Elizabeth to have been selected.”

Dr. Bayne said, “Selection to the Network of Excellence is a great honour for me personally as well as for the Wellcome Trust Centre for Gene Regulation and Expression. I am delighted!”
