Former GRE researcher becomes junior group leader in Milan April 20, 2017 Kristina Havas Cavalletti has recently taken up a junior group leader position at the IFOM Cancer Research Institute in Milan. Her research will focus on metabolism, epigenetics and breast cancer. Kristina undertook her PhD in Tom Owen-Hughes lab where she focused on investigating the mechanism of how chromatin-remodelling complexes harness the power of ATP to disrupt chromatin. Following her PhD Kristina took a career break to start a family and returned to research as a postdoc at EMBL Monterotondo in 2012.
