You can now watch the exhibition launch of “Our Foreign Skies” – and see the winners being announced at the event on 28 October 2013 – in a short film on the GRE website. Click here to view

As well as capturing the opening and award ceremony the film includes interviews with each of the three winners and with Deputy Director of the Centre Sonia Rocha who explains the concept behind the competition.

The exhibition which was organised and run by the Centre for Gene Regulation and Expression aims to promote views of Scotland and Dundee as seen through the eyes of our international CLS community.

Our Foreign Skies is the brainchild of Ana Agostinho, a student in Anton Gartner’s Lab who completed her PhD in 2013 and is now a postdoc at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm.

The film was made by Steve Soave who has worked with the College on a number of promotional films, as part of our commitment to capture and disseminate public engagement activities to the widest possible audience.

A reminder that you can see all nine of the shortlisted entries on the GRE website at http://www.lifesci.dundee.ac.uk/gre/gallery/our-foreign-skies-photo-competition-shortlist
